Chinese Community Center

The Chinese Community Center is a multi-ethnic organization serving all Houstonians. As part of the campus master plan, a new Senior Building has been added to the existing campus, extensive site improvement was made, and an existing storage building was renovated an repurposed to serve as a youth activity space.

The new 22,000 SF Senior Building is a multi-purpose building designed to house the Center’s adult day care program. The new building incorporates activity rooms, exam rooms, sleeping facilities, a café and commercial kitchen, community meeting rooms, and a performance space. The site was reconfigured to accommodate a new senior outdoor recreation area, a playground for the licensed children’s day care program, and an additional playground for older children.

The facility has been designed to comply with the Texas Department of Aging and Disability standards and to respond to a value conscience budget.
