Griffith Fine Arts Building - Stephen F. Austin University

The renovation of the Griffith Fine Arts Building will more than double the current size of the building and includes a major renovation of Turner Auditorium with improved accessibility and updated MEP systems. Renovation to the existing building and new construction will be underway simultaneously. New construction of 67,905 SF will bring the total building space to 137,374 SF. The state-of-the-art addition will house a new 350-seat flexible theatre and an intimate black box theatre. The building will also become the new home of the School of Art’s filmmaking program and SFA’s dance program. It will include two dance studios, a recording studio, sound stage, audio and video editing rooms, an art gallery, multiple classrooms, rehearsal facilities, faculty offices, and the offices of the College of Fine Arts dean.
