City of Houston - City Hall Visitor’s Center Repositioning

Houston, Texas

CEG provided MEP engineering for the City of Houston City Hall repositioning of the Visitor’s Center into a Multipurpose Hall. City Hall was constructed in 1939 and has undergone numerous renovations. Due to the lack of accurate as-built documentation, CEG performed field investigations throughout design and construction. The 7,000 square foot space on the first floor required new air handling units, restrooms and lighting. The surrounding offices had to remain operational during the construction period, so phasing of work had to be determined and carefully documented during the design.
